Apart from YCIS' unique approach to education, elements of the National Curriculum for England (NCE) are incorporated into our formal curriculum. Through this enhanced international curriculum, students develop the capacity of being bilingual and multicultural. This sets a solid foundation for further education.

Part of the curriculum is conducted according to the normal subject classification where integrated learning is the major methodology. The core curriculum is thematically designed with a fusion of various subjects. Students are trained to learn actively, think independently, collect, integrate and analyse data. Learning through practical situations empowers them to interweave textbook knowledge and real life experiences as well as to link up individual exploration and build up a sense of team work so as to integrate their creativity, thinking and problem-solving skills. Students are encouraged to make use of the library and computers in order to discover the most current information in their subjects.
