Secondary Offers to Help

In the Secondary Section, we encourage every student and staff to contribute financially as well as support Sichuan with our prayers.

A whole school assembly was held on May 16. Students gathered to pray for Sichuan. Co-Principal Mr. Iyad Matuk reminded the students that as global citizens and future leaders they should care for people in need.

Teachers launched a campaign to raise money for Sichuan. A movie collecting the news and pictures in Sichuan about the earthquake was displayed. Representatives from Student Council, House Captains as well as Prefects led the whole school to pray for victims in Sichuan and relief work there. The prayer was closed by a benediction from Rev. Yan.

Assistant Director Ms. Winnie Cheng also encouraged the students to get involved in different ways to help the affected people and areas not only in a short term, but in a long run.
