Sichuan Earthquake Relief Committee Formed

Immediately following the devastating earthquake on May 12, which was massive in scope and ruthless in intensity, a Sichuan Earthquake Relief Committee was formed by the Yew Chung Education Foundation to co-ordinate and monitor relief efforts by all of our schools with two objectives, namely, fundraising and educational. All funds raised and concerned educational activities would serve both short term plans to support relief measures and mid to long term plans to support rebuilding.

The Committee, comprising Deputy Director Rev. Choy, Assistant Director Ms. Winnie Cheng and Rev. Yan, will co-ordinate with the principals of Yew Chung schools to conduct fundraising for the relief and the reconstruction of the affected regions.
