A Commitment to Global Education

The growing prominence of China in the global context saw educators begin to acknowledge that ‘International’ is not defined as ‘Western’ and began to recognise YCIS as one of the most innovative international schools with a new model of bilingual and co-cultural education, and a unique model of Co-Principalship and Co-teaching.

Again, upon invitation, we opened two more YCIS sister schools in Chongqing and Qingdao in 2002 and 2006 respectively, and expanded the Shanghai campus to encompass Pudong. Across the pond in the US, we opened another campus in Silicon Valley in 2002.
