Adapting into the New World - Kevin Rabe, YCIS Shanghai '17

Adapting to a new environment, a new culture can be difficult, nevertheless it is a situation so common that each and every one of us may encounter in life.

We are glad to have YCIS Shanghai alumnus, Kevin Rabe, share with us how he adjusted his mindset and how he overcame the difficulties!

“Community is important, it gathers people from different cultural backgrounds but with the same mindset to support each other.” – Kevin Rabe, YCIS Shanghai Class of 2017

FROM OUR COMMUNITIES

From Yoga to Tech, Law and Weather, Alumni Week a Buffet of Inspiration

From culture shock, to mentorship, yoga and the weather, the YCYW Virtual Alumni Week, held 9–12 June, was a smorgasbord of ideas, stories and inspiration. The event, attended by 130 participants over nine sessions, was a big success and greatly enjoyed by students, parents and staff.

YCEF ❨ WE CARE ❩ Cecille Nazareno

"What can I do that machines can't do?" Like Mrs. Cecille Son-Nazareno, all YCIS teachers would like their students to ask that question; At Yew Chung, we've tried to answer it by building our Learning Communities culture, providing open, creative, collaborative spaces where students realize their higher-level skills, from within, for the 22nd century.

Deepest condolence for the passing of Mr Keith Kwek, YCIS Beijing, Class of 2011

With a heavy heart we would like to inform you that Keith passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, on 20th Dec, 202.
